MWA Philadelphia Field Trip on Saturday, October 26th

Members from MWA-NJ/NY will be making a field trip to Philadelphia on Saturday, October 26th, to visit 2 venues of interest to woodworkers (only a few streets away from each other).
  1. A Nakashima Show at the Moderne Gallery in Philadelphia (www.modernegallery.com) -- "An Evolving Legacy". It runs until Saturday, November 2, with hours Tues-Sat, 12-5.
  2. The Center for Art in Wood (www.centerforartinwood.org) is a showcase for Woodturning. Their upcoming show is “Shadow of the Turning: The Art of Binh Pho,” and there will be a Gallery talk and Book Signing with artist Binh Pho & co-curator Kevin Wallace on Saturday, October 26 from 11 am – 1 pm. The Director of The Center - Albert LeCoff - is interested in meeting with us when we are there.
No Reservations are needed for either venue.

The plan is to be in Philadelphia by 10 am to walk through the Binh Pho show before the 11am - 1pm talk/ book signing, go to lunch, and head over to the Moderne Gallery (which opens at noon) to see the Nakashima show.

We don’t have to travel as a group, but we could meet for lunch, beforehand, or afterwards.

Contact Jay Siegelaub (mwa@sibat.net) for any additional information.
